ERASE
The transmedia visual storytelling project you are about to experience was created in collaboration with the poet, artist and digital composer to offer a unique interactive experience for the participant. By bridging both physical and digital worlds simultaneously in a public or private space, a scannable embedded Quick Response Code (referred to as QR Code) becomes an integral aspect of the artwork that is exhibited in a gallery or museum. Hence, the QR Code serves as an underlying coded language that is intended to provide a vehicle that can expand upon the interpretation of an art piece, beyond the object’s first impression. In this context, the QR Code further allows us to see and read “beyond just black text on a blank page.” Once the QR Code is accessed, the participant is immediately transported to this website (as shown above) where the poetry, artwork, and music can be enjoyed.
For all intents and purposes, the project is only accessible at this time to those having or sharing the project’s URL and/or QR code. In the near future, the author and collaborator’s names will be published. And for now, this project shall remain as shown while it is being reviewed as a submission for the Palette Poetry contest.
